Positioning
Positioning command G00 involves use of a coordinate word. This command positions a tool by moving it linearly to the ending point specified by a coordinate word. Highly accurate positioning free from any backlash error can be performed when the axis movement is controled by the G60 command so that the final access always takes place in one determined direction.
G00 is modal (group 01) — it stays in effect until another code of the same group replaces it.
Initial state: a parameter can select G00 as the initial modal condition — what your machine wakes up in depends on that setting.
