G02
Circular interpolation (CW)
Machine-specific. This G-code reference is specific to the Mazak INTEGREX e-670H / e-670H-S with the MAZATROL SmoothX control (EIA/ISO programming manual H747PB0030E). G-code availability depends on fitted options, and groups and behaviour differ between Mazak models and control generations — verify against the manual for your own machine before programming with any code.
What it does
Commands G02 and G03 feed the tool along an arc. Circular interpolation can be performed by designating directly the arc radius R as well as specifying conventional arc center position (I, J, K).
G02 is modal (group 01) — it stays in effect until another code of the same group replaces it.
Programming format
G02 (G03) Xx Yy Ii Jj Ff
Address words
- where G02/G03 : Circular movement direction CW/CCW
- x, y : Coordinates of ending point
- i, j : Posiiton of arc center
- f : Feed rate
- Use addresses X, Y and Z (or their parallel axes) to specify the coordinates of the ending point of
- arc, and addresses I, J and K for the position of arc center.
- Combined use of absolute and incremental data input is available for setting the coordinates of
- the ending point of arc. For the position of the arc center, however, incremental data relative to
- the starting point must always be set.
- G02 (G03) Xx Yy Rr Ff
- where x : X-axis coordinate of the ending point
- y : Y-axis coordinate of the ending point
- r : Radius of the arc
- f : Feed rate
Notes & precautions
- Either below will result if the starting-point radius and the ending-point radius are not
