G-CODEEIA/ISO · one-shot
G31.3

Multi-step skip 3

Machine-specific. This G-code reference is specific to the Mazak INTEGREX e-670H / e-670H-S with the MAZATROL SmoothX control (EIA/ISO programming manual H747PB0030E). G-code availability depends on fitted options, and groups and behaviour differ between Mazak models and control generations — verify against the manual for your own machine before programming with any code.
What it does

Conditional skipping becomes possible by previously setting a combination of skip signals that are to be input. Skipping occurs in the same manner as that done with G31. The skip function can be designated using commands G31.1, G31,2, G31.3, or G04. The relationship between each of these G commands and the type of skip signal can be set by the parameters K69 to K73. While stored stroke limit check generates an outside machining prohibit area, the pre-move stroke check function sets an inside machining prohibit area (shaded section in the diagram An alarm will occur beforehand for an axis movement command whose execution would cause the tool to touch, or move in or through the prohibit area. Stored stroke limit , upper limit Stored stroke limit , upper limit Before-movement stroke check, upper (i, j, k) Before-movement stroke check, lower Stored stroke limit , lower limit Stored stroke limit , lower limit

G31.3 is one-shot (group 00) — it is valid only in the block where it is entered.

Programming format
G31.1 Xx Yy Zz  Ff (Same as for G31.2 or G31.3 Ff is not required for G04)
Feed rate (mm/min)
Axis address and target coordinate data
Using this programming format, you can execute linear interpolation in the same manner as that
done using command G31.
During linear interpolation, the machine will stop when the previously set skip signal input
conditions are satisfied, and then all remaining commands will be cancelled and the next block
will be executed.
G22 X_ Y_ Z_ I_ J_ K_ (Inside machining prohibitarea specification)
Lower limit specification
Upper limit specification
G23 (Cancellation)
Address words
  • Note: During the machine action shown above, if input of skip signal C precedes that of skip
