Tool-axis direction control

Machine-specific. This G-code reference is specific to the Mazak INTEGREX e-670H / e-670H-S with the MAZATROL SmoothX control (EIA/ISO programming manual H747PB0030E). G-code availability depends on fitted options, and groups and behaviour differ between Mazak models and control generations — verify against the manual for your own machine before programming with any code.
What it does

The inclined-plane machining function makes it possible to define a new coordinate system (referred to as a feature coordinate system) by translating as well as rotating the current workpiece coordinate system around the X-, Y- and Z-axis. Using this function, therefore, an arbitrarily inclined plane can be defined in a space and the desired machining contour can be programmed easily as if the plane concerned were an ordinary XY-plane. In addition, there is a function provided to adjust the direction of tool axis to the positive direction of the Z-axis of a feature coordinate system. Since the feature coordinate system is then redefined according to the change in tool-axis direction, a machining program can be prepared without consideration of the inclination of the coordinate system or the tool axis. There are two programming types provided for inclined-plane machining (the selection between which is to be done with parameter F34 bit 4): type A for combined use with the other five-axis machining functions, and type B allowing various types of interruption.
