Fixed cycle (Boring 7)

Machine-specific. This G-code reference is specific to the Mazak INTEGREX e-670H / e-670H-S with the MAZATROL SmoothX control (EIA/ISO programming manual H747PB0030E). G-code availability depends on fitted options, and groups and behaviour differ between Mazak models and control generations — verify against the manual for your own machine before programming with any code.
What it does

In an EIA/ISO program, synchronous tapping can be selected by additionally setting data at the address H in the tapping cycle block of G74 or G84. Address H is used to select between a syn- chronous and asynchronous tapping cycle and to designate the override of return speed. Special preparatory functions G84.2 and G84.3 are also provided for both types of synchronous tapping. Moreover, addresses Q and I are provided for specifying a deep-hole tapping and high-speed deep-hole tapping cycle. Arguments Q and I are used respectively to specify the depth of cut per pass for pecking and to select between a standard and high-speed deep-hole tapping cycle. 1. G74 [Reverse tapping]/G84.3 [Synchronous reverse tapping] Deep-hole tapping cycle High-speed deep-hole tapping cycle (Set the pitch for synchronous tapping) h  1 .... Synchronous tapping 1 ... High-speed deep-hole tapping cycle (b ) 2 ... M03 before dwell at hole bottom  X, Y, P, Q, I, J(B), D, H, and/or K can be omitted. If, however, J(B) is omitted or set to 0, the setting of J(B) will be regarded as 2. […]

G89 is modal (group 09) — it stays in effect until another code of the same group replaces it.
