R-point level return in fixed cycles

Machine-specific. This G-code reference is specific to the Mazak INTEGREX e-670H / e-670H-S with the MAZATROL SmoothX control (EIA/ISO programming manual H747PB0030E). G-code availability depends on fitted options, and groups and behaviour differ between Mazak models and control generations — verify against the manual for your own machine before programming with any code.
What it does

Commands G98 or G99 can be used to select whether the return level of the final sequence during fixed-cycle operation is to be set at R-point or at the initial point of machining.

G99 is modal (group 10) — it stays in effect until another code of the same group replaces it.

Address words
  • G98: Initial point level return
  • G99: R-point level return
Notes & precautions
  • In order that it may function correctly, do not give a command of fixed cycle for turning
