Q: What does Mazak parameter K249 do?

K249 is a Machine parameter in the MEASURE group of the MAZATROL SmoothX control (INTEGREX e-670H). Involute interpolation override lower limit. Sets the lower limit for the involute interpolation override. When this parameter is set, the override is adjusted according to the curvature radius so that the feedrate at the cutting position becomes the specified feedrate, with respect to the feedrate at the tool center path. Note : When this parameter is set to 0 or a value outside the setting range, the involute interpolation override function is disabled and the override is always set to 100% during tool radius offset.

Machine-specific. This parameter list is specific to the Mazak INTEGREX e-670H / e-670H-S with the MAZATROL SmoothX control (manual HA64HA0035E). Other Mazak models and control generations use different addresses, ranges and meanings — verify on your own control before changing anything.
