Q: What does Mazak parameter N9 do?

N9 is a Machine parameter in the TIME CONST. group of the MAZATROL SmoothX control (INTEGREX e-670H). Amount of grid ignorance during initial zero-point return. The spacing at which the grid point is ignored during zero-point return (reference point return in the initial operation after power-on) after the zero-point watchdog LS (limit switch) is turned off. With this parameter, dispersion in position deviations of the zero point can be avoided. The amount of grid ignorance must not exceed 1 grid spacing.

Machine-specific. This parameter list is specific to the Mazak INTEGREX e-670H / e-670H-S with the MAZATROL SmoothX control (manual HA64HA0035E). Other Mazak models and control generations use different addresses, ranges and meanings — verify on your own control before changing anything.
