Q: What does Mazak parameter S38 do?

S38 is a Machine parameter in the ANOTHER group of the MAZATROL SmoothX control (INTEGREX e-670H). Time-out period for releasing the emergency stop status during powering on. This parameter allows you to make the preset time for canceling the emergency stop status at powering on (hotline disconnection time) variable. 0: 1000 ms 1 to 7: 8 ms 8 to 3000: The time-out period is set according to the setting. Beyond 3000: 3000 ms Note : 1. Set the value for the first axis (X-axis). 2. Setting a negative value invalidates this parameter and the hotline is disconnected for 7.1 ms. 3. When this parameter is valid, the time taken to cancel the emergency stop status is output to register R71. When the ready lamp turning on process has failed due to a communication error, “0” is output to the register R71.

Machine-specific. This parameter list is specific to the Mazak INTEGREX e-670H / e-670H-S with the MAZATROL SmoothX control (manual HA64HA0035E). Other Mazak models and control generations use different addresses, ranges and meanings — verify on your own control before changing anything.
