Axis setting I for plane selection

Machine-specific. This parameter list is specific to the Mazak INTEGREX e-670H / e-670H-S with the MAZATROL SmoothX control (manual HA64HA0035E). Other Mazak models and control generations use different addresses, ranges and meanings — verify on your own control before changing anything.
What it does

Axis setting I for plane selection

Axis setting for selecting the plane used in circular interpolation, cutter radius compensation, tool nose radius compensation, cylindrical interpolation and polar coordinate interpolation. Base axis Parallel axis 1 Parallel axis 2 I SU1 SU2 SU3 J SU4 SU5 SU6 K SU7 SU8 SU9 Enter the ASCII code for the axis name as a decimal number for the parameters. (Example: 88 for the X-axis) When a plane selection command (G17, G18, G19) is specified, the horizontal and vertical axes are determined according to the axis address specified in the same block as the plane selection command. When there are multiple axis addresses that can be candidates for the horizontal and vertical axes of the plane, the axes are selected in this order of priority: “base axis > parallel axis 1 > parallel axis 2”. If there are no axis addresses that can be candidates for the horizontal and vertical axes specified in the same block as the plane selection command, the base axes are selected. The G17 plane takes I in the above table as the horizontal axis and J as the vertical axis. The G18 plane takes K in the above table as the horizontal axis and I as the vertical axis. The G19 plane takes J in the above table as the horizontal axis and K as the vertical axis.
