Q: What does Mazak parameter US44 do?

US44 is a User parameter in the DISPLAY STRUCTURE group of the MAZATROL SmoothX control (INTEGREX e-670H). Automatic determination of cutting conditions Tool width when tool data is not input (BAR, CPY, CORNER). When determining “DEP-1” automatically using the automatic cutting condition determination function, determine the condition by using US44 as the tool width if “WIDTH” is not input for the specified tool. Enabled when “IN” or “IN INNER (BAK)” is set for the machining section in the tool sequence for a “BAR”, “CPY” or “CORNER” unit. Note : US44 is enabled only when US1 bit 1 = 1.

Machine-specific. This parameter list is specific to the Mazak INTEGREX e-670H / e-670H-S with the MAZATROL SmoothX control (manual HA64HA0035E). Other Mazak models and control generations use different addresses, ranges and meanings — verify on your own control before changing anything.
